The activity of high jumping is one of the activitys that need to be high self-confident so that the student is able to attack on the bar and perform the skills relative to its passing through, and that the women students of theDepartment of Physical Education is usually reluctant to do trying to cross the bar and shows them the tensile stress while trying to perform the skill, which negatively affects the degree of practical achievement for the exam as well as the lack of mastering this important activity of Track and Field activities.
The research aimed todevelop and implement a proposed program to relax and breathing regulation on the research sample; to identify the impact of the proposed program in the self-confidence development among the students of the Department of Physical Education; and to identify the impact of the proposed program to accomplish the activity of high jump among the students of the Department of Physical Education.
The research sample was determined intentionally.
They are students of the first phase, who were 20femalestudents.By discussing the results, the researchers concluded that there were statistically significant differences between the pre-tests and the post-tests the for the experimental group in the level of self-confidence and the completion of the high jump for the students; and there were statistically significant differences in the post test between the control and experimental groups in the level of self-confidence in favor of the experimental group.
There was a lack of statistically significant differences in the post-test between the control and experimental groups in the completion of the high jump for the students.
The researchers recommended that the Track and Field activities’ lecturershad to take advantage of relaxation and breathing regulation exercises as they help students increase self-confidence and the development of better achievement, and recommended to do further research and studies to identify the nature of the study on the activities of the rest of the Games track and field and conducting similar research on other activities and choose other psychological variables, such as the personal traits, motivation or aggressive behavior.
