Abstract EN

The study aimed at explaining the main reasons behind the inadequate banking finance that directed to the development of the animal wealth sector in Kassala State during the period of 2009–2012.

The study adopted the statistical, descriptive, and analytical methods.

The study main findings indicated the difficulty of obtaining banking finance (in terms of the cost of finance, the required guarantees, the geographical distance, and the continuous roaming); besides the lack of awareness among animal wealth producer about the importance of finance and the banking procedures, which contributes to the weakness of the size of finance that is directed to the animal wealth sector.

The study calls for lessening the procedures for getting the banking finance for the animal wealth producer through the reduction of the cost of finance, facilitating the guarantees and the finance through the mobile banks on the routes and the assembly of the animals, and to raise the awareness of the animal wealth producer about the importance of the banking finance and the banking procedures.
