The Research objectives The research aims to: - Revealing the differences between the two groups that are taught according to the strategy (comparison concept maps) and practice learning (imperative) in the learning and retention of some basic grabs in freestyle wrestling.
- Revealing the best method of retention in learning some basic grabs in freestyle wrestling.
The researchers used the experimental method.
The research community was represented by the second school year students in the College of Physical Education - Salah al-Din University of Arbil for the academic year (2011-2012).
The research sample was chosen randomly (lottery).
They were Division (A), the experimental group that studied under a strategy Concepts comparison and Maps, and Division (C), who studied according to learning practice (imperative).
Educational units were established in accordance with the strategy (comparison concept maps) and by five learning modules to familiarize wrestling.
After a field experience through the application of concepts maps strategy (comparison) to the experimental group, and the use of learning practice (imperative) of the control group, a posttest was conducted after the implementation of the curriculum, and then a test to keep was conducted.
After collecting data, they were processed statistically with an appropriate statistical means.
The following conclusions were made: - The use of (comparative and applied learning concepts Maps Strategy (Imperative) achieved learning and preserved in the art of performance (ankle grab capture).
- The experimental group that used the concept maps strategy comparison excelled over the control group in learning the art of grabs performance (book two men then lifting, mats, and Abbasid).
- The experimental group that used the concept maps strategy comparison excelled over the control group to keep learning in the art of grabs performance (book two men then lifting, mats, and Abbasid).
The researchers recommended the following: - The need to emphasize the use of comparative concept maps strategy taught by teaching motor skills in free wrestling.
- Further studies to be conducted in order to identify the effectiveness of the concept maps strategy in comparison to learn from other Handles grabs wrestling and Romania various motor skills in other events.
