Abstract EN
This study aims to evaluate the performance of fourth year computer-students/faculty of education- University of Aden for teaching skills at school practice, as well as determine the level of performance depending on the type of study and sex.
The study sample consisted of 40 students from the fourth-year computer-students.
The researcher used the note card included three main skills, a performance level of students’ teaching skills of application at school practice has conducted its validity and reliability coefficients.
Results indicated that the level of performance for all skills in the average 3.16, although different degrees of performance skill level to another.
The study also showed a statistically significant difference in favor of females in the main skills, as the value of t 2.875 in terms of statistical value 0.007.
There are also significant differences in the skills of lesson planning and implementation skills lesson in favor of females.
The study also showed the presence of a statistically significant difference for irregular students in the main skills, as the value of t 2.240 in terms of statistics of 0.031.
The study also showed a statistically significant difference in main skills, by gender, as the value of t 2.318 in terms of statistics of 0.032.
In light of these findings the researcher recommended a number of recommendations including: 1) Acquiring the student teacher with necessary skills needed at the school practice.
2) Training the student teacher to use the student activities in the educational situations.
3) Training the student teacher to use the visual aids and to participate in their preparation.
4) Developing evaluation form and focus on the main skills needed by a student teacher at the school practice.
