Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the most important reasons and manifestations of social alienation among youth from their point of view.

A questionnaire was designed as a tool to collect data from a sample consisted of (200) students from Muta university The study concluded with the following findings: The most important reasons for university youth social alienation are: Media encouraging youth to adopt the western culture, lack of cultural and scientific activities, youth participation in both university and society and the absence of programs that help youth to discover their potentialities.

Results indicate that there is no significant difference at level (0.05%) in university youth feeling of alienation attributed to sex and academic level variables in light of globalization, but show that there are significant differences at level (0/05%) attributed to major specialization in (humanities and scientific practical variable.

According to these results, the study presents some theoretical and practical recommendations.
