Abstract EN
Many demographers attribute roots of demographic transition theory to the American Warren Thompson in 1929 and believe that is developed by Adolphe Landry and Frank Notestein.
In reality, such proposal occupied an important place in Khaldunien thought.
Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) have preceded west in his famous preface by his analysis of population growth stages, he divided this growth to steps similar to those described in the modern theory of demographic theory.
For this, we can consider his preface as a basis to research on Ibn Khaldun the demograph who precede his time.
In this paper we review a global description of modern theory, by addressing its roots affiliate to the western.
After, we made a detour on demographic Khaldunien thought, with a deduction on its earliness over the theory
