The Competition Board is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of competitive markets.

Anti-competitive practices are detrimental to the final consumer, this is why the law entrusts the Competition Council mission to preserve or restore the competitive vitality.

When economic actors violate competition law, the board may be seized of the case or be seized automatically.

It then examines the facts and after a contrary procedure, it shall take all necessary steps to stop the practices in question.
