Jurisdictional authority in Iran is one of the important piers on which the republic is made as the constitutional competency of the jurisdictional authority comes after the the competency of the guide of the republic.
It consists of two boards: the first is the board of the the constitution formulation whose tasks are to insure that the laws enacted by the consulting board are applied according to the Islamic Shree'a (principles) and to ensure that the laws enacted by the consulting board do not converse the Iranian constitution.

The board of the constitution formulation consists of lawyers and theologies.
The second board of the jurisdictional authority is the Islamic consulting board which represents all the Iranian people and its authority is to watch the work of the executive authorities
