The aim of this paper is to give definition to repetition as a stylistic device, and to determine its nature in the field of poetry and in the works of arab critics, as well as in the works of certain western researchers and orientalists This article contains also the theoretical framwork of the artistic construction upon whitch this stylistic device is based as well as its effectiveness on the structure of the a classical arabic monorhyme poem in uniform metre, and the receiver.
