Abstract EN

"Beauty" is a deep value in the Religion of Islam, with a multitude of concepts, and variations according to the philosophies and the methods that has dealt with it.

This study aims at explaining the concept of beauty and its various implications in the Prophetic Sunna, in the saying, doings and agreed deeds of Prophet Mohamad PPUH.

This is done through the linguistic definition of the concept, where Beauty means nice look,handsomeness and glory.

In old philosophies, beauty was known to be linked to Religion as a property or a trait that could be noticed in everything that brings or causes pleasure and satisfaction.

Islamic thinkers have also defined Beauty in various yet related terms, however they all agreed that beauty exceeds mere views and concrete objects to include values and references.

The implications of beauty in the Prophetic Sunna extends to include what is perceived by the senses ; as a fine picture, a sweet voice and a good smell, as well as what is not perceived by the senses but is known by the reason like concepts and traits as patience, ethics, and good deeds.

The concept also includes harmony, balance and absence of contradiction.

The findings of the study concluded that "beauty" is a deeply rooted and a more comprehensive concept in the Sunna of the Prophet, that includes what could be perceived by the senses as well as what could be perceived differently, that it is represented in hidden and clear deeds and that it is not an end in itself but a means to gain the grace of Allah
