Abstract EN

The area of concern of this research is to solve the problem related to the lack of coordination among microfinance institutions which leads to a lot of weaknesses, obstacles and challenges facing these institutions, In response to this problem, our study proposes to investigate the possibility of collecting the resource of all these institutions in one portfolio by using Islamic finance tools to help the customer (beneficiary) to obtain his finance from one place instead of dispersing resources and efforts.

To test the research hypothesis and answering its question the research is divided to four sections, section one explain the basic concepts related to the suitability of Islamic finance tools to microfinance, section two examines the obstacles and challenges facing microfinance, section three discusses the role of Islamic tools in linking possibilities of microfinance services and section four present the main findings and recommendations.

The research recommended that the government of Sudan has to support this idea and to participate in the suggested Islamic microfinance portfolio through its various institutions which work in the field of poverty alleviation, transferring of the amount which has been determined by the central bank of Sudan (12% out of the banks' portfolio) from the banking sector to the suggested portfolio, each partner in the suggested portfolio must have its own account and encouragement of institutions, individuals and society to participate in poverty alleviation
