Abstract EN

Turkish foreign policy tends to have a blatant change during the last years .This change is noticeable through the analysis of the attitudes and directions that occurred in this policy since 2002, and that indicate the change in the priorities and the principles on which its foreign policy was based traditionally.

Observers of this policy can easily notice how it went out of the usual framework of Secular state established by the Founder of the Turkish State “Atatürk” who followed the Western models.

Turkish foreign policy became open on international affairs in general and on Arab Islamic World in particular with the arrival of the Islamicrooted Justice and Development Party to the rule at the beginning of this third millennium.

Analysts think that this policy succeeded to make the Turkish political system, which is based on the three principles of democracy, secularism and Islam a model to be studied.

They also think that this model can be taken as a road map for Arab regimes on how they can deal with internal circumstances in their countries through realism, pragmatism and moderation.

This is the model sought by the United States and the western countries that want it to be generalized.

This study aims to answer the following question: will Turkey succeed to be the model Sought by Arab countries and peoples ?.
