Abstract EN

The purpose of the research study is to explore the effectiveness of assertiveness behavior counseling training program on self -esteem of abused children.

20 students identified as abused children in some school of shaqra Governorate (4 schools) were invited to participate.

The sample was randomly divided into two 006 groups; experimental (n= 10) and control (n= 10).

For data collection, Assertive Behavior, and Self- Esteem Scales were employed.

For data analysis, Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon Tests were employed.

Findings from this study indicated the effectiveness of the program employed in improving assertive behavior self -esteem of abused children in the experimental group.
