The trophic ecology of the common genet was studied in the Bouzeguène mountain (forest of Akfadou) (36˚ 33' 36 ˚to 37'N., 4 33'to 4˚ 37' E.) in the cool winter per-humid bioclimatic.
The diet of the Common Genet Genetta genetta was determined by analyzing 100 feces collected in the field between November 2002 and November 2003, we identified 1,217 food items including 812 insects (66.7%) and 346 plants (28.4%) fragments.
In the total biomass, birds were dominatant (45.5%), followed by mammals (21.5%) and insects (13.3%).

L'écologie trophique de la genette commune a été étudiée dans la montagne de Bouzeguène (forêt de l'Akfadou), (36˚ 33’ à 36˚ 37’N., 4˚ 33’à 4˚ 37’E.), dans l’étage bioclimatique per-humide, à hiver frais.
Le régime alimentaire de la Genette commune Genetta genetta, a été déterminé par l’analyse de 100 fèces récoltés sur le terrain entre novembre 2002 et novembre 2003; on a déterminé 1217 items alimentaires dont 812 fragments d’insectes (66,7%) et 346 des végétaux (28,4 %).
En biomasse, les oiseaux dominent (45,5%) suivis par les Mammifères (21,5%) et les insectes (13,3%).
