English Abstract

Exposed Muthanna province like other provinces in the arid and semi-arid regions to the problem of desertification, considering it part of the mid-Euphrates region, like other parts of Iraq that suffer from this problem, and began its natural resources are under pressure to extreme use under the weight of increasing population growth and expansion in the cultivation of land and exploitation, as well as the absence of environmental awareness of the seriousness of this problem and the absence of plans and projects that contribute to halt desertification, which led eventually to the emergence of many manifestations of desertification in the study area, it represented Pettmlh soil and high groundwater level, and the advance of the dunes towards agricultural land and public utilities and it offers other areas of wind erosion, and came Find three Investigation was first a theoretical framework for the search, and search the second causes of desertification in the province and regions affected by the degree of this vulnerability, while the third dealt with the impact of the negative desertification desertification on agricultural production and also discussed ways to reduce the severity of this phenomenon and the role of widening in the agricultural area.
