Abstract EN

After the appearance of the descriptive method in studying the language on the hands of the great Swiss scientist (De Saussure, died on 1913 A.D.), a new revolution from tradition to reason happens against him led by (Noam Chomsky), so he replies to all the former language scientists.

His shifting-generating theory affected even the Psychologists whose opinion is similar to the behavioral school like (Skinner, Piaget and Sloben).

Chomsky sees that the person who speaks a certain language, he has formed an interior system of data that connects between sounds and meanings in a specific way.

We, while speaking, apply the grammar of a language unconsciously, the reason behind that is the system that exemplifies the familiar conditions that is connected in a unit of constant meanings and thoughts in the mind of Man, another reason is that language in its essence is a relation system and it is a part of the general relations science.

These grammars that the speaker spontaneously has are making him capable of using his language correctly, distinguishing what is right and what is wrong, producing countless structures and interpreting these structures; that's what we call (competence and efficiency).

Whereas the Psychologists who are interested in language are concerned with methods that explain competence used in action.

They see in order to understand language, we have to understand the grammar of that language and the language grammar is basically linguistic.

Consequently, in order to get a linguistic performance model, we have to be a model for linguistic competence.
