The French colonial presence in Algeria with its administrative apparatus and the great novelties that it has introduced in the colony, especially schooling Algerians in French schools, will upset the colonized as well in their socio-political structures as in their psychology.
The old values such as the sacredness of the family and blood ties and the attachment to religion and local ancestral customs will crumble and give way to new habits and new values.
The technical progress does not leave insensitive and the world of the colonized will undergo deep changes.
It is not only the architecture of the house of the colon that the colonized will copy, but also the representation which he makes of life.
In this work, we will study the transformations caused by the colonization on the old Kabyle sociopolitical structures in some novels of the colonial period

La présence coloniale française en Algérie avec son appareil administratif et les nouveautés qu’elle a introduites en colonie, notamment la scolarisation des Algériens dans des écoles françaises, vont bouleverser les colonisés aussi bien dans leurs structures sociopolitiques que dans leur psychologie. Les valeurs anciennes comme la sacralité de la famille et des liens de sang, l’attachement à la religion et aux coutumes ancestrales locales vont s’effriter et laisser place à de nouvelles moeurs et de nouvelles valeurs.
Le progrès technique ne laisse pas insensible et le monde du colonisé va subir de profondes mutations.
Et, ce n’est pas que l’architecture de la maison du colon que le colonisé va reproduire, c’est aussi la représentation qu’il a de la vie.
Dans cet article, il sera question d’étudier, quelques romans de la période coloniale, les transformations engendrées par la colonisation sur les vieilles structures sociopolitiques kabyles y figurant.
