Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the perceptions of teachers about the role of playing in the development of some social skills among children with intellectual disabilities, where the study sample consists (100) parameter of (5) different regions (north-south-central-East-West) Riyadh.

The study was conducted in the second semester of the year 1437 AH = 2016 AD.

The researcher using descriptive method through a questionnaire as a tool to measure teachers' perceptions about the role of playing in the development of some social skills among children with intellectual disabilities, and the results showed: -that playing has A high role in skill development for expression of (apologies-asking permission) among children with intellectual disabilities, and has a very high role in the development of dialogue skills among children with intellectual disabilities.

-that the (team playing) has a high impact on developing the skill to express asking permission and dialogue skills in children with intellectual disabilities, while (Role Playing) has the highest impact on developing the skill of expressing apology.

-there are no significant differences between the responses of teachers of the study axes according to the variable (educational level-years of experience- the related Administrative Region).
