Traditional popular proverbs are considered as a literary genre commonly used by different social classes bacause it carries the experriences of the ancestors and their wisdom.

They are short, concise sentences that hold the form of a simile .

Proverbs’ concision is simultaneously connected with a specific rhythm created through the repetition of certain words and sounds, which results in some kind of an evident musicality that affects the interlocutor.

Such effects make the proverb easier to memorize and widely-known.
