English Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the role of the young in changing the Jordanian society from the viewpoint of the students of the government and private universities of Jordan, (Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Mutah University, the University of Jordan, Al-Isra University, and Amman Arabic University).

The sample was (500) students and the results showed that the more effective means of communication on the role of young people in change are Face book, Internet, Arabic satellite channels, platforms , religious lessons, educational institutions, seminars and lectures, while the least influential are the non-Jordanian FM stations and the Jordanian TV.

The study results showed that young people have a big role in the process of social change, as well as there are statistically significant differences in the role of the young in the change due to the level of study variable, but no statistically significant differences were found attributed to sex, age, and place of residence of the family.

And the study concluded a number of recommendations.
