The aim of this study is to explore one of the main factors contributing to the demand for international tourism, which is the exchange rate.
We have tried to investigate the impact of this factor on the foreign demand for tourism arrivals into Ahhagar (Tamenraset), for seven European countries (France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Germany), during the period 1999-2012, Data are analysed using panel data (fixed / random effects), the results of our estimates show that the exchange rate is statistically significates, and the international tourism arrivals depend negatively on the exchange rate.
