دراسة مورفولوجية و جزيئية لداء الليشمانيا الجلدية في حلب-سوريا Cutaneous Leishmaniasis

Abstract EN

Cutaneous Leishmaniasis is one of the most spread and danger diseases in the world.

This research gave a clear picture of Cutaneous Leishmania Parasites leishmania tropica in Aleppo.

DNA extracted from (60) Specimens of the dry Cutaneous Leishmaniasis separated by PCR of the genetic site ITS1 was made by using primers (LITSR and L5.8S), the PCR products electrophoresis showed that the length of fragment of DNA from the genetic site ITS1, which has been amplified, was 325 bp.

This result was identical with many other studies, which confirmed that primers (LITSR and L5.8S) defined a fragment of the genetic site ITS1 length (300-350) bp in species of genus Leishmania.

Then, PCR-RFLP of PCR products had been done by using the digestion enzyme HaeIII, The analysis of digestion by electrophoresis showed presence of two bands.

The length of the first band was 200 bp and length of the second 65 bp.

These bands defined exactly the species Leishmania tropica.
