The literary communication between the Moroccan and Levantine literatures boomed during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail (1082- 1139 AH), thanks to a group of writers.

Abu Ali al-Hasan al-Yusi (1102 AH) stays the most prominent.

He has received his literary heritage, including his pastiche of Sharaf al-Din Mohammad Busayri‟s Dalia (696 AH).

I have chosen to study this pastiche to demonstrate the metaphorical system to determine the similarities and differences between the two poems, while connecting the metaphorical system with contexts of production and reception.
