Abstract EN

Globalization had a great impact on the notion of sovereignty in its absolute aspect, which is no longer acceptable in modern era given that the states acknowledged the necessity of cooperation in order to reach effective solutions by concluding agreements and creating international organizations of which constitutive charters contain provisions that seek to preserve sovereignty through many principles deriving from it, such as the principle of non intervention stipulated in the article 7/2 of the UN treaty.

However, the said principle of non intervention started to give a flexible interpretation rather that rigid interpretation, and the states reserved sector began to retract gradually in favor of the international system, in addition to this, they opened the way for UN intervention in internal affairs of member states by the interpretation of the articles regarding its specialties pursuant to the principle of effectiveness of international organizations.
