The aim of this study is twofold: In the first place it purports to introduce the public to “Muhammad Ibn Ubba Al-Mazzmari” (died in 1160 after hijra); one of the celebrated Algerian grammarians (he lived in the Touat region, the province of Adrar), and his major works.
In the second place it will attempt to explore in depth the most original aspects of his grammatical doctrine by analyzing his poetical rendition of the Ajarrumiya treatise.

Cet article met en lumière certains aspects de la vie et du travail de (Mohamed Ibn Oubba El- Mazzamari), qui fut un éminent grammairien Algérien de la langue arabe et un auteur prolifique (Il a vécu dans la région de Touat, dans la wilaya d’Adrar et mourut en l’an 1160 de l’hégire).
L’accent est mis, dans cette étude, sur les principaux aspects de sa doctrine grammaticale en se servant de son ouvrage intitulé « versification du recueil de la grammaire arabe d’Ibn Ajarroum », comme base à notre étude.
