Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify syntactic and morphological problems that face students of secondary level in terms of their causes and ways of treatment.

The researcher used descriptive method, and selected Khartoum state as an area for conducting study; particularly Karari locality.

Then a random sample including (1200 male and female students) from secondary level students who enrolled in the academic year 2014-2015 totaling (16373 male and female students) in Karari locality.

Data was collected through questionnaires which were designed, standardized and administered by the researcher and descriptive statistics were used to analyze data.

The most crucial results of the study were: There are syntactical and morphological issues in learning Arabic language.

Poor display of syntax and morphology means Prevails among teachers in addition to tendency to oral and abstraction.

The following recommendations were made by the researcher: Emphasis should be put on searching syntactic and morphological problems.

Stressing logical series of syntactic and morphological lessons.

Lessons of syntax and morphology should be separated from basic level up to university level.

A practical book to syntax and morphology should be created for all educational levels.
