Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify patterns of leadership behaviour of volleyball coach’s in Khartoum state, Sudan, as perceived by a sample of selected players.

The study used the descriptive method.

A random sample of 30 players from volleyball clubs in different levels participated in the study.

Data was collected through the leadership behavior scale.

Descriptive, inferential and non-parametric statistics were used in data analysis which was done through SPSS software.

Most Important results include: All patterns of leadership behavior were used equally in the professional work of the coaches except for a minor increment in “instruction and coaching” and “ democratic behavior” patterns.

No statistically significant differences appeared in the sample’s perceptions of the patterns of leadership behavior when classified according to demographic variables.
