I try through this paper to speak about the role of the continuous training in contemporary companies as an important activity in the Human Resources Development function, especially in light of the complexity of functions and jobs, that's what push the researchers and managers in the field of human resources management to give a great importance to the training in order to contribute in reducing the performonce gap.

Due to the constantly growing demand for high technical skills and technical qualified employment, and because of the shortage of highly qualified professionals, the institutions are betting on training and consider it as a key activity that must be exercised, and allocate for it the resources needed to refine and update the skills of the workforce.

In order to achieve the aims of this paper, I divided my research into four main axes, the first one was allocated to talk about the theorical aspect of the concept of training, while the second axis was to determine the importance and objectives of the training, the third axis was consecrated to the types and methods of training, and in the last one we have tried to clarify about the role of training in the refinement and updating of skills of the workforce
