Abstract EN

Tourism is an important factor in economic development at the international and regional levels, but Algeria is still late in this field, Compared to its human and physical potential.

This allows it to become a touristic country with distinction.

Rural tourism is seen as one of the services which can achieve sustainable and balanced development, between the different regions of the country, within the framework of the policy of regional balance, and the search for economic alternatives outside the hydrocarbons sector.

So we want to clarify this topic, in order to contribute to the visibility of the Maadid region as a tourist destination.

Because we know it personally, through its natural and heritage capacities: Rural villages, archaeological sites, historical monuments, traditional crafts, customs, Traditional cooking and natural monuments.

In this study we want to answer the following problem: -What are the tourist qualifications of Maadid, and How to develop rural tourism in this region? Throughout the two main axes: 1- Evaluation of the elements of rural tourism in Maadid.

2- Examination of the various factors related to the development of rural tourism in this region.

It’s should be noted that There is no previous academic studies, Treating the field of rural tourism in this region, despite the great potential available.

Finally, concerning the methodology of this study, we want to follow the historical method and the descriptive method, and we used the analytical method, to a lesser extent, according to the nature of the subject.
