تقييم كفاءة دور المصارف الإسلامية في جذب الودائع و تعبئة المدخرات : دراسة ميدانية على المصارف الإسلامية الأردنية

Abstract EN

This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of Jordanian Islamic banking role in mobilizing and attracting deposit over the period 2000 to 2013.

For this purpose study sample consists of all banks found during the period of the study, i.e.

Jordan Islamic bank and Islamic International Arab bank.

In order to test the hypotheses, the study uses Eviews statistical package to conduct simple regression model, in addition, we try to apply the analytical evaluating indicators and criteria (AEIC) that are used to evaluate the role of commercial banks in mobilizing deposit, namely; banking deposit average slope indicators (BDASI), banking deposit marginal slope indicators (BDMSI), internal elasticity analyzing indicators (IEAI), and comparing between individual share of national deposit and his share of gross domestic product ( GDP Per Capitia).

From the empirical results of the analysis it is found that there has been a positive relationship between banking deposit and GDP, it also shows banking capability improvement in financial saving to fulfill economic sector needs.

The results also shows a positive relationship between individual share of national deposit and GDP Per Capitia.

It also confirms the importance of banking deposit support in finance fixed capital in international economy.

On the other hand the results indicate the incapability of Jordanian Islamic banks in changing banking deposit attitude, finally there were a number of recommendations.
