This Study aims to Identify Attitudes towards Persons with intellectual disabilities , among the students of the department of special Education , at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences , Ain AlJawaa , Qassim University .

And if the interpretation of those Attitudes is influenced with different variables .

Like : specialization track of choice (intellectual disability) , educational attainment (achievement ) , cumulative grade average , and whether an existing family relative has an intellectual disability .

The study sample consisted , in its final form , of (161) students from the Department of Special Education The study used the “ measuring Attitudes towards persons with intellectual disabilities “ scale , developed by the researcher .

The study used the “ descriptive analytical “ method , and the study has many findings , including the following : There are definite positive Attitudes , among the Department of Special Education students , which can be related in some cases to the specialization track of choice (intellectual disability) , other case are related to a student’s educational attainment or cumulative grade average .

The study found also some positive Attitudes related to the existence of a family member with an intellectual disability
