English Abstract

The study aimed to identify the estimate college students to the requirements of promoting respect for international humanitarian law, and detect whether there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of the respondents to estimate these requirements are attributable to variable (sex, specialty, average cumulative), and then put the educational mechanisms to achieve these requirements.

To achieve the goals came researcher study descriptive analytical approach through the application of a questionnaire composed (40) items distributed on four areas : (educational requirements behavioral, political requirements, cultural requirements, international requirements) on the sample (311) students from the fourth level students at the University of (Al-Azhar-Islamic), results found : - The total degree to estimate the respondents to the requirements of promoting respect for international humanitarian law was (69.62%) which is a large degree, came fields, respectively: the first (political requirements) relative weight (73.8%), followed by the field (behavioral educational requirements) relative weight (70.2% ), followed by the field (cultural requirements) relative weight (68.7%) and finally came the field of (international requirements) relative weight (65.8%).

- There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the mean scores of university students to estimate the requirements of promoting respect for international humanitarian law attributable to a variable (sex, specialty, grade point average) While the differences found in the first field depending on the variable sex in favor of females.

In light of the results has been proposed a set of educational mechanisms that may contribute to the strengthening of respect for international humanitarian law requirements, the study recommended by : 1- Work on the expansion and spreading the culture of international humanitarian law in all state institutions by deepening public knowledge and judicial authorities.

2- The development of a national map of research in graduate programs in which priorities are set to monitor violations, and to develop mechanisms to respect international humanitarian law (domestically, internationally).
