The present research deals with the issue of quoting poetry as an argument in setting the rules of Arabic syntax.

Citing poetry is one of the earliest studies that caused heated controversies among ancient linguists.

The reasons for restricting syntactic authentication to poetry have been studied in this article.

Also, the significance in quoting the Mongrels has been discussed, arriving ultimately to a new structural approach of citing poetry.
