Abstract EN

The study demonstrates the features of the concept of ‘Takaful’ in shedding light on the relationship between shareholders and policymaker.

It also shows the positive role of ‘Zakat’ (alms giving) in solving the problems of poverty, unemployment and wealth concentration and other problems that increase the suffering of the individual and deepen the economic backwardness of the nation.

This positive role can be achieved not just by spending the Zakat on the poor directly, but when Zakat is invested in projects of economic development to stimulate the local economy and create jobs.

The most important recommendations of the study is to work on a law regulating the operations of ‘Takaful’ and highlight its supporting basis in parallel with international developments, and the need to highlight the positive aspects that characterize the system of ‘Takaful’ technically and financially in order to take advantage of Zakat (alms giving)
