The Algerian legislature under Order No.

05-02 amending and complement the Family Law (Law No.

84-11), focusing on improving the status of women within the family.This amendment touching principally the provisions relating to marriage, divorce and their effects with a focus on strengthening the legal status of the woman to achieve the equilibrium with the man in the family, through a set of questions are the age of ability to marry and take adult woman contract her marriage and established her conditions in the contract,and increased incidence of divorce request and confirm the wife's right to Khula without the consent of her husband, and the order of the owners of the right to guard the children, and the right of the divorced woman of the the tutelage of her children.
