Abstract EN

Nigeria is not only a giant of Africa in term of size and population but also in term of Arabic scholarship.

Nigerian scholars have succeeded in presenting to the world a number of works on different aspect of Arabic and Islamic Education.

A legacy which stated around 17th century has gone a long way in documenting the history of African civilization.

However، many works of Nigerian scholars remain in manuscript form till present time.

Taking a leaf from scholastic activities of Abbaside dynasty and activities that lead to literary development in Andalusia through verification and authentication of manuscript of their early scholars، there is need to carry out similar assignment on Nigeria Arabic manuscript.

This paper، therefore، aims to explain the extent to which verification and authentication is added value to the works of Nigeria scholars which are yet to see the light of publication.
