The study attempted to shed light on the efficacy of Marzano's Learning Dimensions Model in promoting the levels of learning comprehension by intermediate third grade Students ; to achieve the objectives decided , the study followed the descriptive as well as the experimental methods , with the latter approach based on the experimental / control groups procedure .

The researcher designed a number of materials and research devices as follows.

a – a list of reading comprehension skills .b – a reading comprehension test .

c – a teacher manual .

d – a learner guide .

These instruments' and tools validity and reliability had been measured , and then the measures administered to a random sample of (48) intermediate third grade students registered in 1435/1436H at Al –Imam AL-Nessaey School in the City of Jeddah.

The students were divided into two groups: experimented and control , and the application of the experiment lasted for eight weeks; to analyze the data obtained , the researcher employed the statistical techniques: frequencies; percentages ; arithmetic means; standard deviations, independent samples T Test; Levens' Test to measure homogeneity and Ancova test .

The study arrived at specifying (16) reading comprehension competencies needed by third class intermediate students.

The results obtained in the study revealed the existence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.001) between the two control and experimental groups in the post -achievement score means in the reading comprehension test at the five levels (literal , deductive, critial , appreciative , and creative) in favor of the experimental group students.

These findings emphasize the learning dimensions model of Marzano in developing reading comprehension levels by third grade intermediate students with a value reaching (3.01) which is a large value indicating the existence of the practical significance of the study's results.

The study made a number of recommendations for people charged with the task of planning Arabic language curricula at the Education Ministry, in addition to Arabic language teachers and supervisors.

The study proposed the conduction of some researches relevant to its topic.
