The invention of laser is considered to be one of the greatest scientific developments in science history.

It has contributed in creating a lot of equipments which have been used in developing industrial and engineering applications.

The invention of Laser diode in 1962 by Robert Hall in General Electric Laboratories, came to increase the development of these applications.

Our research presents a practical and analytical study for Laser diode 635nm (AlGaInP/GaAs) to identify physical parameters of laser beam using computerized Thorlabs Beam Profile system–type109-VIS.

This laser was used in Triangulation Sensor which is one of the advanced technologies in the science of optical measurements, especially in the area of outstanding high precision industrial applications.

It depends on the changes of laser subtractive on a detector as a result of change of distance.

Through laser analysis, we obtained the Beam Profile, energy distribution, Centroid Position, beam dimension, intensity, peak position and power.

Triangulation Sensor showed accuracy in measuring different dimensions (distances).
