English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the relationship between the class communication and the discipline problems of the secondary school students in Gaza Governorate from their teachers` perspectives.

The researchers used the analytical descriptive method, and the sample included (301) teachers (males and females).

The questionnaire was used as a tool of the study.

The results of the study showed that : 1.

The relative weight of the first area (discipline problems) was (51 %), and the relative weight of the second area (class communication) was (81.8 %).

2.

There were significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) between the teachers` average estimation for the discipline problems in secondary schools from their perspectives due to the variable (gender) in favour for males.

3.

There were no significant differences at the level (α ≤ 0.05) between the teachers` average estimation to the discipline problems due to the study variables (specification and years of experience).

4.

There was a reflexive correlation relationship between discipline problems and teachers` practices to achieve class communication to prevent such problems.

The study recommendations : 1.

The necessity of giving the students the chance to participate in setting class rules.

2.

The importance of putting just and acceptable rules to the students.

3.

Giving the educational guide the chance to solve the discipline problems.

4.

The necessity of co-operation between the school and the students` families to solve the difficult discipline problems.

5.

Variation in methodologies and approaches of teaching to be sure of making the communication a principal of the educational process.
