The last two decades have witnessed an unprecedented development in Arab mass media, thanks to the startling technological progress in all communication sciences and computer technologies in particular.

As a result, a considerable number of mass media men and women have entered the field.

Unfortunately, many of them have not received proper and sufficient professional training and preparation for work.

Accordingly, there has been a very worrying decline in linguistic performance.

This study is an attempt to document this decline with the purpose of enhancing Arabic mass media and improve the linguistic performance of journalists.
