English Abstract

The National Palestinian Movement has been facing the obsession of losing its unity as well as political disunity due to Palestinian – Israeli negotiations which started in 1991.

The Palestinian – Israeli negotiations is considered the main obstacle which is blocking the achievement of the National Palestinian unity.

It has negatively impacted the path of the national Palestinian warfare as well as the aims of Palestinians ; the right of the refugees to return back home, self determination and institute their independent state.

This negotiations has imposed settlements (compromise) that negates the national and historical rights of the Palestinians in their home land and state properties.

Furthermore, it made the Palestinians face a dangerous challenge and direct threat to their legal legitimate liberation but also minimally reduced it to peace compromise aiming to provide them a self autonomy in West Bank and Gaze.

This self autonomy is even incomplete and authorizes Israel to maintain its control and mastery.

It caused the Palestinian Liberation Organization to revert self into autonomy authority.

The Palestinian public opinion has varied among their political visions towards the negotiations and their results.

Besides, the Palestinians have been struggling and disputing on the two different programs which are resistance and peace compromise.

This dispute lead to big political division among the national Palestinian movement and its leadership which formed three political streams; the first who is supporting the peace compromise, the second is the nationally opposing and the third is the Islamic opposing.

It drew a drastic polarization in the Palestinian political field between the two major political parties “Fath and Hamas”.

The two parties has formed two authorities; Hamas is governing Gaza and Fath is governing the west bank causing all Palestinian Parties including Hamas and Fath unable to establish the national Palestinian unity.
