Arabic Abstract

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى فحص العلاقة بين الألكسيثيميا و مستوى الدخل و المستوى الأكاديمي و الجنس، لدى عينة من طلبة جامعة مؤتة، و تكونت عينة الدراسة من (400) طالبا و طالبة منهم (117) من الذكور و (283) من الإناث اختيروا بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة الطبقية على أساس الشعب.

و لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير مقياس تورنتو - 20 (20-(TAS لقياس الألكسيثيميا، و التحقق من دلالة صدقه و ثباته و تطبيق الدراسة على أفراد عينة الدراسة، و قد توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن مستوى انتشار الألكسيثيميا، (%50) من طلبة جامعة مؤتة الذين يعانون من الألكسيثيميا بدرجة متوسطة و أن (%11) فقط منهم يعاني من الألكسيثيميا بدرجة مرتفعة وأن (%39) منهم يعاني من الألكسيثيميا بدرجة منخفضة و يُعزى ارتفاع مستوى الألكسيثيميا لمستوى الدخل حيث إن الألكسيثيميا ترتفع لدى الطلبة بانخفاض دخل أسرهم أي إن العلاقة عكسية.

و بناء على نتائج الدراسة فقد خرجنا ببعض التوصيات، منها توعية العاملين مع الطلبة حول أهمية الألكسيثيميا في علاقات الطالب و تكيفه الاجتماعي مع الآخرين، و كذلك إجراء دراسات حول متغيرات أخرى ترتبط الألكسيثيميا كالاكتئاب، و نمط الشخصية، و العلاقات الاجتماعية مع الرفاق و المدرسين، و على عينات أخرى كالعاملين في القطاعين العام و الخاص، و تطوير برامج إرشادية للطلبة تساهم في معالجة مشكلة الألكسيثيميا.

English Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between Alexithymia and level of income, academic level and sex.

The sample of the study consisted of (400) students, (117) males and (283) females whom were chosen by a simple random way on the basic classes.

And to achieve the goals of the study, TAS-20 (TORONTO 20) was developed to measure the level of Alexithymia, as well as verified the reliability and validity of the scale after applying the study on some members of the sample.

The results revealed that the percentage of moderate level of Alexithymia spread among Mu'tah University's students was (50%), while only (11%) had high level of Alexithymia and (39%) had low level of Alexithymia.

The reason of the high level of Alexithymia related to income level, where Alexithymia was high, was among students who come from families with low-income level and this relation is an inverse relationship.

Based on that result, there are some recommendations such as raising the awareness of the workers as well as students about the importance of Alexithymia for students' relations and their social adaptation with others.

Furthermore, conduct more studies about other varieties related to Alexithymia such as depression, personality style and social relations with friends and teacher, considering other samples from public and private sectors, and the development of social programs that help students to overcome Alexithymia problems.
