Abstract EN

The present research was conducted on a category of youth comprising 214 members females.

This category represented different regions of the Saudi Kingdom.

The central intent underlying this research was to gain an idea on the relative level of awareness existent among such youth on the concept of cybercrimes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Linked with this intent was to achieve another objective.

To be explicit, it sought to gain an idea on either cognizance or ignorance on the Saudi Penal Law relative to cybercrimes.

In addition, the present research has explained a direct correlation between awareness of Saudi Penal Law and some behavioral practices that materialized through channels of modern technology.

Almost half of the members of research sample, 55%, expressed that their use of electronic devices are illegal.

This is apparent by utilizing social media networks.

The present research, in its conclusive section, has yielded an inference of note.

It unfolds that awareness of Saudi Penal Law on combating electronic crimes play significant role in restraining negative practices prevalent in the broad spectrum of Information Technology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
