برنامج تدريبي قائم على بيئات التعلم الشخصية (PLE)‎ لتنمية قدرات أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة الحدود الشمالية في التحول نحو التعليم الإلكتروني

Abstract EN

This Study aimed investigating the effectiveness of a suggested training program based on personal learning environments (PLE) on developing the abilities of faculty members at Northern Border University (NBU).

The study used a random sample consisting of (34) faculty member in (NBU).

Quasi-experimental design with one group was used in this study.

Instruments used in this study included Faculty Members’ Ability Scale and a Shift towards e-learning Scale.

Teaching and training of the suggested program to the experimental group took 16 training hours in 8 training sessions.

Results indicated a statistically significant difference at a level (0.05) between mean scores of the experimental group in the pre/ post-measurement of the abilities of faculty members in favor of post-measurement.

Results also revealed a statistically significant difference at a level (0.05) between mean scores of the experimental group in the pre / post-measurement of the shift towards e-learning in favor of post-measurement.

Based on these findings, expansion of e-learning training programs in higher education institutions was recommended
