Abstract EN

This study deals with the ways of collecting Municipal Solid Waste in the Great City of Dammam, as well as the different and various sources from which such waste is produced.

It is also concerned with the degree of which every sector contributes in producing such waste which has increased due to the increase of social and economic activities, besides the estimation and calculation of Municipal Solid Waste’s production rates and identifying the efficiency of collecting such waste in the study area.

Moreover, the study also deals with the role of garbage collectors and trucks in collecting, transporting and disposal of waste away from where it is produced to keep the environment save.

This study reviews the major problems of collecting and transporting Municipal Domestic Solid Waste along with suggested solutions.
