This research aimed to identifying the general characteristics of self-esteem and future anxiety among the investigated students of Khartoum state universities, and to indentify differences in self-esteem and future anxiety according to some democratic variables, and identify the correlation between self-esteem and future anxiety among those students.

To achieve these objectives the researchers adopted the self-esteem scale and the scale of future anxiety.

The researchers selected a random sample which consisted of (230) students from both males and females.

The researchers used a descriptive and inductive analysis to analyze the data by the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS), namely Pearson correlation coefficient, one sample T test, T test for two independent groups.

The researchers arrived at the following findings: the general characteristic of self-esteem among students of Khartoum state universities is greatly positive, the future anxiety among students of Khartoum State universities is above average ; there were significant differences in self-esteem due to gender variable in favorite of male students, while there are no differences in future anxiety due to gender variable, there is a statistically significant direct correlation between self-esteem and future anxiety among students of Khartoum State universities.

In light of above mentioned findings the researchers recommended and suggested as follows : a student conception of self-esteem should be considered when he is guided academically and educationally, attention should be paid to effective educational guidance of students in order to enable them manage self really and positively.
