This research deals with an attempt to examine the methodologies addressed by some folk literature critics, away from the environment where it grew up, mainly the modernist approach.
The researcher chose the treatment of this subject through the approach of both of the Algerian critics Mrtadh and Bouraiou in the treatment of the Algerian Popular Literature.

Le présent article est une tentative qui a pour but d'examiner et de mettre en vue les méthodes abordées par certains critiques de la littérature populaire, et ce loin de l'environnement où cette littérature a eu lieu.
Parmi ces méthodes, nous abordons l'approche moderniste, considérée comme la plus importante.
Le chercheur a choisi d'aborder ce sujet selon la méthode des deux critiques Algériens celui de Mourtad et celle de Bourayou dans l'étude de la littérature populaire algérienne.
