Abstract EN

This research aims at identifying the difference in the desire of Saudi innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs todevelop their creative ideas, inventive products, and entrepreneurial projects in the context of business incubators programs and university technical valleys of Saudi Arabia in light of some variations.

Such variations include the sample study (innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs), the key areas supporting the transformation of Saudi economy towards knowledge-based economy, and the different levels of each ofthe cognitive load associated with creating innovative ideas and metacognitive skills, the efficiency of future objectives, the awareness of intellectual property rights, psychological hardiness, and attitude towards university business incubators and technical valleys.

The research sample includes (215) innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs selected purposely on the basis of their consent and desire to participate in the research procedures.

Results of this research indicate a difference in the desire of Saudi innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs todevelop creative ideas, inventive products, and entrepreneurial projects within the business incubators programs and university technical valleys of Saudi Arabia.

This difference in desire came in light of the variation of the key areas supporting the transformation of Saudi economy towards knowledge-based economy, and the different levels of psychological, cognitive, and metacognitive variables in question.

Thus, attention must be paid by the administrators of national business incubators programs and university technical valleys of Saudi Arabia to the development and support of national programs for business incubators and university technical companies to be enriching environments capable of comprehending the psychological and cognitive set up of Saudi innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs.
