Abstract EN

The study aims at knowing the status of mobile phone applications usage by Jordanian public high Schools Student' in the educational process and possible obstacles, from students' perspectivein in Bani Obied Province - Irbid.

Student sample randomly consisted of 317 male and female students .Study instrument is a questionnaire prepared by the researcher depending on researches and related studies.

It consisted of an open question and 24 items which have proven reliable and consistent.

Conducting the study and carrying out necessary statistical treatments show that the general average of means of students' use of mobile phone applications in the educational process is medium.

Hypotheses test results found that there are significant differences among means for female students and scientific streamer.

No significant differences were found among means attributed to interactions between gender and specialization variables.

Obstacles of students' use of mobile phone applications are reflected in unavailability of regulation s and instructions which allow getting mobile phones into the classrooms and substantially using them in the educational process, as well as lack of promising community environment and technical systems which would embrace this type of education .unfortunately, the applications are mainly misused in time wasting activities such as games and amusement.

the study concluded by calling upon community support and understanding , preparing the infrastructure , and reconsidering school curriculum and programs and strategies of implementing them for better comprehending of the technological and electronic revolution concepts and merging them class activities.The study calls for further research on mobile phone applications at other school stages.
