Abstract EN

This study aims attempting to measure the impact of trade openness on employment in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sector during the period (2000-2014) and for that we estimated the demand function on work of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Algeria under the trade openness, where we relied on data from the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to form our model variants, without the integration of average real wage variable and without distinguishing between qualified work and non qualified work because of the lack of data related to these two variables at the level of the Ministry of small and medium enterprises, We also used the total exports and imports index to GDP to represent trade openness, it has allowed us to estimate the model by interpreting labor behavior within this sector after the trade openness, where we found that the trade openness has a positive and significant effect on employment level in small and medium enterprises sector in Algeria.
